It is frustrating that I find information like this on a weblog and not on my mainstream news sources. The only think I read was how the Iranian president called for the destruction of Israel and how other arab countries were slow to condemn. What about condemning for the total destruction of the west? This is sickening.
I first saw the quote about Israel on the BBC and the Financial Times. Generally speaking they don't care about the Democrats.
I have a very odd take on this. I think Messrs Sharon and Abbas should invite Mr. Ahmedi-Nejad for a chat and tell him to keep his mouth shut, and insist that he go back to Iran and explain why he is wrong on every possible level.
It isn't really news-news, but it should be publicized. However to do that would go contrary to the "we were lied into war" theme going by providing evidence that maybe, you know, there actually are enemies out there who want us dead, for reasons pretty much of their own making and having little, if anything, to do with what we have actually done and more related to who we just happen to be.
Can't have that getting about, can we? We wouldn't get invited to all the right cocktail parties then.
The Enemy removes his mask. Yes, as I have said countless times before, we really are at War for the survival of America, of Western civilization, of human freedom.
While I suspect that we won't be attacking Iran based on concern over their intention to destroy the US, such attitudes from their leaders will certainly make it likely that the apparently inevitable day of reckoning when Israel bombs the living hell out of Iranian nuclear sites and possibly the Presidential residence will lead to the President of the United States shaking his finger at Israel and scolding "Bad Israel--bad!" with all of the sincerity of a man announcing his willingness to pick up his mother-in-law at the airport.
Did anyone else notice the top half of that hourglass? It's a photograph of the earth that was shot from one of the Apollo spacecraft (15?).
There isn't an Islamic country on the planet that could reproduce the mission that produced that photo.
