I cannot believe I'm watching this.

The memories of my childhood on the south side are flooding in. %-)

Didn't know you were a fellow Shytowner. Grew up around Naperville myself.

I just hope that the Sox develop a 3-1 lead only to blow it in three straight games and watch their chances of winning fall apart.

Sorry, but as a long-maligned Cubs fan, I can't accept South Side success.

Your good news is that the W-Sox only have to win four games against the Angels.

Your bad news is that they have only six games left in which to win those four games.

Remember what I guoted Damon Runyon as saying:

"The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong. But that's the way to place your bets."

I'm a native Chicagoan. But this south side bunch represents to me memories of extended Chicago Rapid Transit train rides all across the city, just to watch ball games quite similar to the ones I could take in at Wrigley Field.

I am happy. The hated Yankees are dead. Long live anyone else but the Yankees and the Red Sox. I foresee an I55 World Series - St. Louis vs. Chicago. But the Angels are 18-4 in their last 22 games. Can Chicago cool them off?
