Wrongness.

It's a movie file, starts playing when opened.
Helps if you've seen The Shining. Safe For Work, but might not be safe for keyboards.

Enjoy!

Heading to the Star Theater to see Flightplan starring Jodie Foster. My wife and I are big Jodie Foster fans. In fact, I have liked every music she's acted in. J-Fos slappies UNITE!

typical LA junk food and house cleaning. Yeah, it's bad for me, but I need a dose of artery-hardening orange grease every once in a while, and I haven't had any in 4 years. Nice to be home.

I'm here.
Ponder that one.

Here's a link to America's Volunteer Life Savers

I only mention them because I am a member (since 1999) and because we are looking for more volunteers. (Yes, you do not get paid. You really are a volunteer!)

I do a lot of boat patrols in the summer, especially the Freedom Festival Fireworks and APBA Gold Cup races on the Detroit River. But the CG Aux is also involved in air patrols, road patrols of waterfronts, public appearances, vessel inspections boater safety class, etc.

Check us out. We'd be glad to have you.
N.B. This is a bit more than a hint!

If you should get real bored this weekend and want something to do... Kick back with the family or friends, grab a bag of popcorn and a cold soda and watch or rewatch in many cases, the movie "The Day After Tomorrow." I myself have the Movie in my own personal Video Library and have watched it many times since it came out on DVD...
(It's by far one of my favorite movies.)

The reason I say watch this movie is this... It's almost spooky as to how so many of the things that have gone on in this country this last month... are within this movie in spooky parallels...
It’s an eye opener... and no... I'm not talking about global warming... Give it a watch... You'll know JUST WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT......
(And as said... It's a great movie!!!)

I'm skipping out on the Microsoft MVP Party tonight. I'm really enjoying all the MVP geeky togetherness here in Redmond; but I'm so short of sleep, I could barely keep my eyes open today. I just had to take a night off and do quiet, simple things -- like call home and tell my wife I love her while she's still awake. With as late as events have run here and the three hour time zone difference, the earliest I could call her this week was long after she went to sleep. Tonight, we actually got to talk. And as much as I'm enjoying the Microsoft folks and the MVP folks, I'd still rather talk to Sandy.

Do you still help people trying to switch from blogger to wordpress? I am trying to move my blog (dougandmegan.blogspot.com) to my new blog powered by wordpress at www.epiccommunity.com. If there is any help you can give let me know. My comments are powered by holoscan also.

Thanks

I used to do Movable Type Doug, not WordPress. I advise going with Powerblogs nowadays, since they'll do the conversion for you usually.

Mad Oilman: Can you cite some good references for those of us who aren't in the industry? I'm not as well-armed as you, but I'd like some answers for the peak oil fanatics. I'll bet I know the basics of your argument (higher prices make more sources viable, and then accessing those sources makes their cost of access go down); but it's good to have some sources to back me up.

Actually, Jesse, Jewel Staite gained weight for the series. Apparently, Whedon didn't think it necessary for the movie, and honestly, a slimmer Kaylee makes more sense if they're truly living on the edge (and possibly a mite short of good food.) (I think she's cute both ways.)
10.1.2005 3:25pm
Jesse Hill (mail):
I do think she's cute both ways, don't get me wrong! But I think she's cuter with those extra pounds. :)

Kaylee, Jewel Staite, is absolutely perfect as she is, whenever that may be. I'm with Jesse on this vital topic.
