(As a side note, I was living in Colorado during the Hayward fire and other associated fires, and I realized how affected I was by my upbringing when everyone around me was panicking and my reaction was, "No way it will get to Denver; it's going to stop by Highlands Ranch with all the overwatered lawns and lack of mature trees." The sky was dark with smoke and my reaction was "Eh." We Californians are a strange bunch.)
FEMA promises to help CA fire fighting efforts
If that doesn't make Republicans puke, then I guess nothing will. This fire is about 5 to 10 miles from my house. If FEMA pays a dime, I don't think I can cast a Republican vote. (I will vote on those propositions though!)
