And now I have more respect for regular carnival hosts like the Dave Schuler here with Carnival of the Liberated. The Storyblog was my first carnival, and it was so much work that I did not even bother putting up my own story to be posted.
The stories thoroughly impressed me with the quality of the stories posted. Some of the stuff I read was better than stuff I've bought in bookstores. And I'm one of the 1% Asimov talked about who are voracious readers, although less so since I have tykes and a career to launch. But still there are few things more refreshing than to sit down with a good book for a couple hours.
