I have a collection of a lot of those old comics from that era, that era when I was a boy. They cost $00.12 each back then, they cost far, far more today. That site didn't show the "World's Finest" where some evil aliens made Batman warden of a prison on another planet with a red sun (which took away Superman's powers) and he treated Superman extremely cruelly. "Bread and water's not good enough for you? Well, eat it anyway!", as he zapped Superman with a stinging ray. Superman, as he lay under a pile of rocks, unable to lift them, moaned: "For the first time in my life, I... I... I HATE the Batman!"

Showing the heroes (and their friends and lovers and often the villains) acting completely out of character was the characteristic feature of nearly every DC Comics cover for well over a decade from the 1950s to the early 1970s. A zebra-striped Batman, Superman a wanted criminal, Jimmy Olsen a miser, Lex Luthor a hero, the Joker being serious, Clark Kent being brave....

The style of those old comic books! The style of that era!.... Brings back such good memories....

Why they stole that lock stock and barrel from www.superdickery.com is beyond me. I thought they wrote their own stuff at National Lampoon, but oh well.
