Buchanan/Feingold

Roger Simon suggests a Pat Buchanan/Russ Feingold ticket for Democrats in '08.

The way they're going, that sounds like it might be just about right.

That neither would keep the Jewish note in the Democrat camp, because of Buchanan on the ticket, nor help them attract a counter-balancing anti-Jewish vote, because of Feingold on the ticket. (Talk about no-win politics.)

I think Senator Feingold will keep his now-secure US Senate seat from Wisconsin for a long time, and Pat Buchanan will continue his op-ed columns and roundtable talk shows for a similar tenure.

To be fair: Mr. Simon never actually said this should be a Democrat ticket. It could be... I forget, what's that loser party Buchanan keeps running under? Is it the Reform Party? Considering that they ran Buchanan with a Communist VP nominee, they'll pair up pretty much anyone who will get them some attention.

Buchanan and anybody makes an interesting combination. He's one of those of whom I must say that, while I oppose nearly everything he advocates, he does have style.
