The girl doesn't get enough respect, so I hate to say it, but: I predict Vonzell's going home this week. She's had better nights than tonight.

Carrie was terrific... and Bo Bice is already a star.

Bo's choice (going acapella) was utterly brilliant. I still don't think his voice has that much power (I know, everybody disagrees with me), but tactically that had to be unbeatable.

Carrie didn't have her best night, but I think she probably did better than Vonzelle, especially her 2nd beat V's 1st and 2nd.

I guess I should add something about Bo.

I have been ambivalent about him at best. Although I most definitely preferred him over the greek guy. And as a rock and roller in my heart, he has a certain appeal to me (although I am beginning to think that rock really is now dead, at least commercially). So I could take him or leave him.

But he has certainly delivered down the stretch. When they announced tonight that he had to sing “Don’t let the Sun Go down on Me”, I figured it was all over for him.

But, wow! He pulled that off, big time. He’s good.

I like the muscle, the hint of a growl, that Bo has in his voice. The biggest thing is that he knows his limits and sticks to them: the other two still don't know theirs.

I predict Bo will win. He started out very well, and he's getting better and better.

Bo is going to win this thing. Straight up with flava! Vonzell and Carrie fighting for 2nd. Personally, I think Bo and Vonzell makes a more compelling final.

That will be the headline in a week. Vonzell goes home tonight, setting up the titanic battle between Good and Evil.. Carrie the Good Ole Country Girl vs. Bad Boy Bo.

Bo should win this thing hands down even though he is a cokehead. I actually see another AI conspiracy, where everybody and their brother voted for Bo, but Carrie wins.. Kinda like a few years ago when Ruben beat Clay. I hear more about Clay than I do Ruben, so the same scenario will play out again. Carrir clearly needs the AI title like Ruben did. Bo is like Clay in that he'll be fine on his own.
