You know, when I heard they were doing '70s dance tunes I thought "Bo Bice is doomed." Then he pulled out that great old Ides of March tune and gave the best performance of the night. Simon was right.

Speaking of which, am I the only one who's tired of people insulting and interrupting Simon Cowell? He is hard to please, yes, and as a result his praise actually means something when he gives it.

Not only am I tired of people interrupting Simon, I'm really annoyed with the cheerleader next to him. Seriously, if people suck, Paula will tell them they were great, and if they are actually great she practically orgasms on camera.. Paula needs to be voted off next..

I’m pretty sure the banter between the judges (and Ryan) is mostly scripted.

And don’t forget, Simon is the creator of this whole shebang. Per standard Hollywood rules, he should have veto power, so he could nix anything he doesn’t deem fit. And for sure, he’s no dummy.

The first season they didn't let the audience boo the judges while they were talking. Not sure about the 2nd. It became really prevalent in the 3rd. To me it gives the show a very Jerry Springer/white trash feel. One garbage shows like that, whenever someone is saying something the audience doesn't like, they try to boo so loud that you can't hear them. Now Idol has stooped to that level.

And I agree with previous comments about Paula. If everyone knows that you never say anything negative, your positive remarks don't mean a hell of a lot to anyone.
