Idolatry

Carrie was better than the judges said she was.

But aaaaargh!!! Constantine... evil... evil... evil....

My mother called about 10 minutes into the show. Instead of telling her I would call back, I foolishly tried to divide my attention between Idol and her. Bad idea.

I caught all of Carrie. She was great during most of her song, but I thought she lost it a little during the last 10% or so. I think the judges blasted her for that. I don’t think she has to worry though. And yes, Constantine did it again.

Since I was distracted for most of the show, I’m not going to make any predictions this week.

But I did finally see/feel the sexiness in Nadia that you have mentioned before. Oh yeah. Maybe its because I wasn’t really paying attention to her singing this time, and was just watching. Or maybe it was the short skirt. Whatever, I was blind, but now I see.

Thank you!!! Yes indeed! Evil, evil, evil, evil Constantine! Evil. Genius.

And poor, benighted, supremely-talented Nadia stands fair chance of being booted.

I have to agree that Carrie pulled off the Pat Benatar tune (Love is a Battlefield). She even managed to get that alternating gritty resonance and pure tone that Pat has. Not bad for a gal who leans heavily into country and western.

I think that Scott may be toast this week despite one of his better performances.

It's getting tougher to select the favorites as I believe this group is much more closely matched than those in the previous three seasons.

And I agree, Constantine is evil...in a purely good way. He performed "Bohemian Rhapsody" quite well, didn't he?

[groan] Yes... yes he did. [Buries face in hands.]

I disagree. I thought Constantine's rendition of "Bohemian Rhaposdy" was crap. Maybe it's because I so like that song, but what he did with it was nothing. The whole thing was void of emotion.

I think it's Scott's last show, though. He's worn out his underdog charm. Nadia vamped it wonderfully, but her voice let her down. Anthony's voice isn't holding up either.

what kind of crack are you people smoking? Carrie was AWFUL! Nadia was worse. Vonzell, Constantine, and Anthony were the best. Bo was just average, which was a disappointment, since we've been waiting to hear him sing Freebird since we first saw him.

I think Scott is gone, but I'm not sure who's with him in the bottom 2. Maybe Carrie, but probably Nadia.

I thought Constantine's Bohemian Rhapsody was great.
I mean, he sucks as a singer an all, but he is a showman. Thats what its all about nowadays it seems. Your voice can absolutley suck ass, but if you look good, then its all good. My fav's of the night were Carrie &Bo. I think the wife beater Scotty did horribly, but having Hall &Oates give him props for doing the song good, may be his saving grace. I say, say goodbye to Nadia this week. I haven't liked her from the start, besides Simon gave her the kiss of death last night. So that means the Simon clones will pull their votes from Nadia and give them to Scott &Anwar, the two weakest guys.. Nadia goes home..
