Dean's World

Defending the liberal tradition in history, science, and philosophy.

Victory for Democracy & Human Freedom

Sometimes, we have big victories. Sometimes, small ones. Abdulkarim Al-Khaiwani has been ordered freed.

There is one person to be thanked for making it happen, too: Jane Novak, who has doggedly pursued this man and his story for quite some time.

I'm so proud of Jane. She's been like an attack dog on this issue, and has even written about Al-Khaiwani here on Dean's World in the past when she's appeared as a guest blogger. That means we played a tiny role here too!

Don't let anyone ever tell you bloggers never accomplish anything meaningful.

Thanks Dean. Thanks so much for your help. Its so great. He really appreciates our help. I have his email up if you want to send him a high five. I think he's going to write an article about us for his newspaper, in Arabic, in Yemen. I can't wait for the translation.
