American Idol Recap

So I wasn't able to catch it. What happened? Did they re-perform everything or did they just rerun last night's performances and allow people to re-vote?

If they let everyone perform again it could change a lot....

Luckily, in the interest of fairness, they just re-ran last night's vocals with the corrected voicemail numbers.

Seems about the only fair way to do it.

Heh. Well I'm still pretty sure little Mikalah's toast then.

Too bad. She had potential. Her "God Bless The Child" from a few weeks ago was still a high water mark for the show. But she's been too weak since then.

I would add that although the music was all repeats of last night, there were a few seconds of banter with each contestant that was fresh. And their dews and duds were all different.

Mikala did quite well in her interview tonight, I thought. Although her singing was off last night, (and that was made quite clear with the replay tonight), she might have earned enough points tonight with her interview sassiness to carry her through. The Smith guy flopped all around.

Mikalah had a weak performance but made up for it a bit with a good plea for votes.

I think Nadia will be voted off next.

It will be close between those two: everyone else was great. Those two were mediocre.

If Nadia is voted off next, I'll eat a lefty blog.

Nadia's choice this week was weird and sucky, but she's in the very top tier of talent in the competition.

You can't look at this show and get it on the basis of a single week's performance. Nadia has blown too many people away more than once to exit over one bad song choice.

I agree... Nadia doesn't have to worry despite an underwhelming performance. If Mikalah doesn't go... (and frankly, with her personality, I'll be sorry to see her go)... I think the next off will be Anthony. Does that kid have anything? Would anyone miss him???

No matter who gets sent home this week, it will be controversial.

Unless it is Mikalah.

People have been comparing Anthony to Clay from the start, I think the better comparison is to John Stevens.

Close your eyes and listen to Mikalahs voice... I think you will find she is the suck... if you haven't already.

I have. She has performed extraordinarily well in the past. The last few weeks she's been the suck.
