Freedom Delayed Is Freedom Denied

So. Assad says Syrian troops may pull out of Lebanon within a few months.
Assad's a liar. He's going to do whatever he can to keep them there. But freedom delayed is freedom denied, and I don't think the Lebanese should have to put up with any more delays.
By the way, Instapundit notes an interesting contrast. He also points to this article on how events in Lebanon are emboldening democratic activists in Syria itself.
Heh. Indeed.

(Or at least I hope at the least some USAF/USN squadrons are drawing up plans for airstrikes on Syrian forces in Lebanon. I also hope Assad is terrified of that possibility.)
You do a terrible Instapundit impression. You actually used descriptive link text. For shame.
You know what makes me think this could happen. I see a lot of pictures coming out of Lebanon. We saw a lot of pictures coming out of the Ukraine too. And look what happened there.
On the other hand I don't remember seeing a lot of video from Iran last year, or Burma in the last decade or Vietnam or North Korea or Tibet. And look where those places are. The fact that it's on TV and people are paying attention gives me a lot of hope.
