The Oscars are tonight?

Actually, that is not strictly true: I heard earlier, when I was actually surprised to find that tonight is Oscar night, that Chris Rock worked in a bit of insipid Bush-bashing....

The self-absorbed involved in self-congratulation...not exactly "must see" Noonan viewing...

I'd far rather watch Mark Noonan himself, or any of the commenters here in Dean's World or in Classical Values. Mark Noonan has more style than all those actors put together. As does Arnold Harris. And Paul Burgess.

I met Jamie Foxx once and he was VERY gracious, classy, AND very funny. His beloved grandmother did a good job.

(He's shorter than you'd think, too. I'm 5'5" and he was just a little bit taller than me, so I'm thinking 5'7" or so. Maybe the camera adds height, too, not just pounds.)

Jamie Foxx wins the Oscar? Dogs and cats really ARE living together. Not the the award was undeserved, mind. But I cannot get the image out of mind of Foxx playing Wanda, the butt-ugly girl on "In Living Color".

Haayyyyy! I'm gonna rock your world.

Funny how things work out sometimes.

Of course, Hillary Swank goes from "The Next Karate Kid" and "Beverly Hills: 90210" to winning two academy awards. What's next? Ben Affleck and Matt Damon winning for writing a screenplay? Oh, wait a minute...
