"Mystery Meat"......

....may get a little less mysterious....

I don't have a problem with eating dog. It is done through many Asian countries. Just as some Indian tribes will still serve dog (no, not in a resturant).

I take more offense at the French eating Horsemeat, then attacking the Koreans for eating dog during the Football World Cup. But, I can't stand hypocrites.

This is ridiculous. For cryin' out loud...basically, what's the difference between a cat or dog and cattle, or chickens, or pigs? One might just as well arbitrarily decide that pigs are good for pets and outlaw pork production for human consumption as well. My mother had a pet pig on the farm when she was growing up, and many people own potbelly pigs as indoor pets now, and yet I still see bacon for sale in the grocery store.

Either we routinely kill and eat animals...or we don't. What could possibly make a dog or cat more worthy of our protection than a cow or chicken?

Hmmm.... Interesting questions. I would like to see what wild animals in the jungle taste like. Eat real elephant ears. Lions and tigers might taste good, too. A hippopotamus, a rhinocerous, a crocodile, an alligator, an orangutang, a gorilla, a monkey, a chimpanzee. I also love the idea of eating snakes and lizards and such things. The French eat frogs and snails. I have had escargot a few times. Delicious. I wonder what bats taste like? Hmmm.... All kinds of possibilities. Rather than not eat meat, I would do the opposite: Cook and gobble up all of the most delicious specimins of the whole animal kingdom beside ourselves. Cannibalism is still against the law. We need some taboos. In ancient Egypt, killing a cat was punishable by death. Interesting questions about it all....

Typically speaking, any animal that eats meat itself, especially carrion, doesn't generally taste good.

I've had both black bear and grizzly. The black bear was good, the grizzly wasn't. The difference? Most black bear stick to a diet of greens, fruits, or berries. Most grizzlies are meat eaters, quite often scavenging for their food.

Shark isn't bad, though...
