Drake Update

Well, Drake definitely has pneumonia and is getting antibiotics and sugar through an IV. It's not clear how long he'll be hospitalized, but the doctors say we got him in very early and it looks like only part of one lung is infected, so his prognosis is excellent.

Drake sounds like a "fighting name". I say that b/c on an episode of ER, the NICU gave all the kids nicknames...and the nicknames were usually names that were tough. The name "Drake" fits that mold.

Heh. That's one of the reasons we named him that. We figure that someone named "Drake Esmay" will have to turn out to be either a biker or a wealthy industrialist. We'll hope for the latter. ;-)

I haven't been here for a couple of days so just discovered baby is sick and in the hospital. Tell Queen that my prayers are heaven bound. I'm sure this has got to be the worst for parents. The prognosis sounds positive so we'll just wait for the good reports.
