Saudi Elections

Saudi Arabia is holding its first free elections tomorrow. It's only for municipalities, but it's a start.

I got this news item from Crossroads Arabia, which has some other interesting articles up right now, including: a new Cabinet, more complaints (from Saudis) about the education system, a wrap-up on counter terror financing actions.

That's turning into a very interesting blog.

Gotta start somewhere. Problem for the royals is that when the populace takes that first sip of political decisonmaking, they get hooked. In the long run, this is bad for the royals.
