White People Should Never Dance

They really shouldn't. Here is the definitive proof.

(Via Ghost of a Flea, who is also Canadian and thus proves my point.)

* Update * I'm not sure Japanese people should dance either.

Hey, Canadians can get funky! Take both guys in the video and the music they are dancing to (that's Le Tigre for all you wannabe hipsters).

Gosh. That's it. I've have it up to here(pointing to my ankles). Fred Astair and Gene Reynolds and Alexander Godunov are - well - I guess they weren't really dancers. I guess John Travolta wasn't really a dancer. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't have posted this in the first place.

Oh I loved the Citroen one! How can you watch that and not be reminded of the Transformers?

Uhhhh, NO.

Those aren't white people; they're obviously alien mutants. Different kettle of species entirely... :)

Actually it looks like some moronic deviation from an obscure Euro "techno" group.

Blech.

Gene Kelley, counterexample #1.

Watching An American In Paris is a good way to understand why guys need to learn to dance. It's seriously sexy when done right.

Hey, I was joking guys.

Gene Kelly was just amazing. What was best about him is he made everything he did look natural and easy. Which of course almost none of it was. But you watch him and you're sure you could do that. Just watch the "Singin' In The Rain" performance for the perfect example of that, although there are countless others. You watch it and it doesn't seem like he's doing anything complicated or difficult at all. But he is.
