Hey I'm an atheist but I'm on board. :-)

The answer to all this is a broad and generous interpretation of the Second Amendment. An armed society is a polite society.

I'd link her, but apparently she doesn't like women who go camping.

Bill:

I'm with you. I mean, why is it illegal to wear a gun on your hip ala the Old West? We can get a CCW permit but nothing alowing you to slap some iron on your thigh! Do people think that crime will suddenly get out of control when everyday citizens are clearly carrying a .45 at their side? I want a frickin' law stating I can walk around with a holster about my waist and a swagger in my step! Thug T. McRobme will pick a different victim next time.

Although I've heard you can do this in Arizona... but I could be wrong. Does Texas have any law like this? If anyone does it would be them.

It is perfectly legal in New Hampshire to carry firearms in the open without a permit. Permits are required to carry concealed, but are pretty easy to obtain - no major legalistic or bureaucratic hoops to jump through in order to get one.

Gun ownership is pretty high in this state. It could be one reason why we have one of the lowest crime rates in the nation.

There are several states, including Louisiana and Arizona and New Hampshire, where it is perfectly legal to carry an open, unconcealed firearm on your person or in your car. You only need a permit to carry a concealed firearm.

Extremely interesting Bills of Rights. Thank you. That "Bill of No Rights" (or Bill of Responsibilities) is a necessary corrolary of the Bill of Rights we already have. What it all comes down to is this: The only right we have is the right to be left alone.
