It should be noted that the Red Sox curse is older than the Redskins curse. Therefore, its aura was more powerful. The Ether is sufficiently disturbed at the moment that most other curses have been rendered null.

I wholeheartedly agree about the Sox, and have made a few predictions on that account. But it should be noted that all previous times this football phenomenon was played out was while the Washington Redskins played at home. The Redskins now play in Maryland, which is an easy enough "explanation" why Bush may very well win. (That is, assuming you buy into these things, which I find fun but not especially meaningful.)
