Dean's World

Defending the liberal tradition in history, science, and philosophy.

Hear, Hear

Jim at Snooze Button Dreams has a good rant about non-partisanship. Except the part about Michael Moore being a bag of puss. He's a bag of holocaust revisionist, racist, anti-American puss, Jim. Get it right.

Holocaust revisionist? That's a new one on me. Can you elaborate?

Dean Esmay (www):
Sure, Michael.

Just look at how Mr. Moore portrayed Iraq prior to the liberation in his film "Fahrenheit 9/11." Kids flying kites. Then, when America invades, bombs going off, families devastated, and dead babies.

More than a quarter million innocent civilians liquidated by Saddam's regime, and Michael Moore could find not one moment to discuss this in his propaganda film. The Marsh Arabs? The Kurds? The mustard gas against civilian populations? The attempted assassination of a former President? The fascist (indeed, directly Nazi-inspired) nature of the Baathist regime? Nary a word.
He is now among the ranks of holocaust revisionists.

He's a Holocaust denier as well as a Castro-sucking, America-hating, Jew-hating, gun-owner-hating, Communist bag of pus.

I support the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. I hate Kerry and his Brown Books, smearing our brave soldiers. I hate the media.

Let's not forget that his techniques are the same ones used by holocaust revisionists everywhere: half-truths, inuendo, and assertions that are impossible to disprove.

Commenting on Dean's World is a privilege, not a right. Dean is your host, you are his guest, and you should behave in that fashion. Dean is not your babysitter, nor is he your punching bag. Please remember this. In general, you are free to disagree with anyone on any subject you wish, but abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

Of course we all lose our tempers now and then. Dean freely admits to being imperfect in this regard, which is why regulars to this establishment will generally be cut more slack than people who we don't know very well.

Still: behave like an adult, or go find somewhere else to play. Thanks.
