Over the years, I've read of other incidents which indicate that folks in the Nordic lands may have some weird predilection to public nudity.

Maybe they think they don't get exposed all over to enough sunlight in the Schwarzwald? I personally think that if a guy runs around without even underpants, he may damage his equipment as they bounce around. Anyway, it's their forest and their equipment. So let it all hang out, if that's how they get their jollies.
