Al Qaeda-linked Group Threatens Europe
It basically gives Europe two more weeks left on the April 15th "truce" in their one-sidded hostilities: pull out all of your troops from Iraq or else.
INSTANT PSCHIC INFORMAL CONTEST: Which country do you think will be the first to capitulate, and why? And, if why none, which will be the first to tell the terrorists to get lost?
In a word, "DUH!"
i think europe needs to take this threat seriously because these guys r not kidding... i think the UK will be hit first.
First, it's interesting that they continue to threaten Europe instead of the US. Does this mean they lack confidence in their ability to strike America? Or do they think Europeans, like the Spanish, will capitulate?
Second, it will be UK, but the plot will be partially muted by an intelligence win, boosting Blair.
Third, after UK, it will be France because of the head dress thing. France will collapse, blaming the US and withdrawing completely from the war on terror.
It's too easy to say "France" but I can't imagine that they'd count since they've already capitulated.
My guess is that Italy might well be the next target. I'm not sure when their next election is scheduled to occur, but you could well have the same result as happened in Spain, wich Berlusconi being voted out and the country withdrawing entirely.
I think you could pick any Eastern European country to tell the terrorists to pound sand. The Big Boy there would be Poland since they're doing a lot of the heavy lifting that other capitulating countries ought to be doing but aren't.
And while I'm thinking about it, why aren't we giving more public props to Poland? I think they've earned more than their share.
Italy - definitely.
They've got the highest rate of cowardice (not including Sicily of course) outside of France and Spain.
Yeah, Italy is a likely target, but I think France is a better conduit to emasculating NATO.
Why aren't we beating on France and Germany to send troops to Sudan? Are is the junta there sending cash to Paris?
Sorry. I meant "Or is the junta . . ." Man, can I be stupid.
Happy Bastille Day!
