The Excitement Grows

International Talk Like A Pirate Day is only 87 days away.

Can you feel the excitement in the air?

By the way, don't forget to take the test, in case you need to sharpen your skills in time to properly celebrate this woldwide festival.

I *can* feel the excitement, because I was bummed at missing the last one.

I'm surprised no one quoted the all-time best example of pirate-talk:

Captain (looking through spyglass at fishmarket truck": "Arr, shiver me timbers! I spy the catch of the day!
(lowers spyglass, revealing dark circle around his eye)
Captain's kitcen staff (laughing): "Arr arr arr!"
Captain: "So! Ye dogs be thinkin' that's amusin', eh? From now on, hair-nets be mandatory!"
Captain's kitchen staff (sadly): "Yarr...arr...arr..."

Ah, the Simpsons. It's funny 'cos it's true.

I think it's ridiculous to have TLAPD on a Sunday. arrr. It's fun to disrupt a meeting at work by TLAP, but doing it at church is a bit much to ask.
