"Clean" Kitchens A Festering Cesspool!
My lovely wife will be appalled to know that a clean kitchen spreads bacteria.
I knew it. I knew it all along!

Do it anyways! LOL
That's why real, professional kitchens don't use "sponges".
Nah, not me.
I NEVER use sponges. Dean seems to have forgotten I am a biology geek.
I use paper towel and high powered kitchen cleaner. I also have those Clorox kitchen wipes - disposable....
I'm a hand washing freak - there are no GERMs in my kitchen, well except the ones crawling on Dean. :-)
Professional kitchens need to be worried about epidemic food poisioning. Home cooks do not. This is just another example of Americans obsessing about cleanliness.
Sure, your sponge may be swimming with germs, but when's the last time they caused you any problems? Our cleanliness compulsion is probably doing us a lot more harm than good, in terms of lowered immunity to disease, increasing autoimmune disorders, maybe even increasing certain types of cancer. I worry more about household chemicals than the germs they're supposed to kill. When they put antibacterials in plastic kid toys is when I really knew this had gone too far.
It's your food that needs to be washed to avoid e coli and salmonella poising. Your own germs are very unlikely to hurt you.
I was about to start a rant, but you can just read what Dani said.
Just remember that owning a dog means you never have to mop... :)
Soak your dishes in cheap vodka and set them on fire. Kills all the germs and NO TOXIC CHEMICALS.
:)
No, just soak them in cheap vodka and stop there.
