NY Times Sez Clinton's Bio Is A zzzzzzzzzzzzzz (Joe Gandelman)
As you can see here, while The Paper of (Often Erroneous) Record says it has its good moments, it says getting through a lot of will require lots of coffee. The review's worst insult: comparing it to Clinton's endless, excruciatingly dull speech at the 1988 Democratic National Convention in Atlanta nominating Michael Dukakis.
Still, advanced sales are HUGE, partisans will buy it in droves, and people in the middle will likely read it (conservative talk show hosts are already denouncing it even though they have not read a page of it, but that's standard operating procedure these days). You can just see the TV Movie now. But who will play Bill & Hillary?
How about Charlie Sheen and Madonna?
Clinton will insist on Russell Crowe. Hillary will insist on Jessica Simpson.
And for Kenneth Starr they'll get the guy who plays Palpatine in the Star Wars movies.
Joe,
I'm not so sure about that advance sales figure.. Amazon.com is selling the book for 21 bucks -- off a suggested cover of 39.95
I'm thinking it will be on the remainder tables soon.

It's not anti-Clinton to assume the book is boring. It's pretty obvious that what people want to read and what Clinton is willing to reveal are far from the same thing. Actually, that's kind of a summary of the Clinton administration. It had the thrill of a tabloid chasing a celebrity.
Unless Darrel Hammond plays Clinton, the TV stays off.
