What? You Thought I Was Kidding?

A $30 donation to Spirit of America, I will write an essay with at least two references on any subject. I guarantee that it will be a thoughtful essay, too.

Patterico thinks he can scare me by threatening to demand I write an essay on Mendelssohn and Wagner, but I said any subject, and I did mean it. ;-)

It's not really that I thought I could scare you. It's just that my specific question might well require a person to listen to Wagner's entire Ring cycle (and Mendelssohn's Third Symphony) -- even if you'd heard them before.

That would take many, many hours, and would be (for some) true torture.

Just listen to Anna Russell's lecture on the Ring Cycle, quicker and more entertaining.
