As a decidedly minor weblogger, one of my hobbies has been sitemeter watching. I average about 30 hits (give or take a few) per day, so I'm having a good day when I hit 40. Give me 60, and I'm in insignificant weblog heaven. I have a feeling that this weekend is going to be a lot of fun for me as far as the ol' sitemeter goes.
Now, I've been handed the opportunity to control Dean's World, a blog that gets traffic far beyond my wildest dreams. I'm like the kid who just got the keys to dad's prized Bugatti supercar with permission to go crazy (as long as I don't crash and burn). Truly, this is an amazing thing. I have been granted power. Perhaps not REAL ULTIMATE POWER, but power nonetheless. And as every good parent teaches their child, with great power comes responsibility. So I'm going to share the love!
Welcome to MARC'S FESTIVAL OF OFT-UNRECOGNIZED BLOGGERS WHO TOIL IN OBSCURITY BUT DESERVE AT LEAST ONE LINK FROM DEAN'S WORLD OUTSIDE THE BLOGROLL AND IF DEAN WON'T DO IT HIMSELF, I WILL!
* First up this evening, Wince and Nod finds some interesting info on sonic boom research that could lead to supersonic passenger jets that could fly over land without annoying everyone with constant sonic booms.
* Considerettes is a favorite blog of mine, and a fellow "slithering reptile" in the blog ecosystem. Check out this post on the Bible as Hate Speech. Or just click on the main link and scroll. It's always worthwhile.
* Q and O is also excellent. Jon Henke and McQ are thoughtful, well reasoned, and if there were any justice in the world, they'd be guest blogging instead of me. But there's not. So there.
* Brian Wohlgemuth lives at woogieworld.org and runs a blog called How Do You Spell That? He likes model rockets, he's got a sweet ride, and he's a supporter of the best darned alliance around. (Have you contributed yet, by the way?)
* As an Apple geek and political junkie, there's always something for me to enjoy over at Peeve Farm
* Finally, I'd like to point you over to Soap Box Senate, a blog where few words are wasted in the pursuit of a good point. Check it out.
I've got to go - I think my lovely wife is watching "Bring It On," which may be an indication of extreme boredom on her part. A bored, sick, pregnant woman is not a good thing in my experience. I bid you a good night!
No INDC Journal? Harumph!
Well, I guess you can't have everything Bill
;-)
I left bill out because he's kind of a hack. I don't like to give that type of guy too much publicity...
For reference - what defines a "hack," Marc?
