Fight For Liberty

Have you done anything that made you feel proud today?

I have a suggestion:

fightforliberty.jpg

Volunteers serving in our armed forces in Afghanistan and Iraq are buying electronic equipment, tools, school supplies, medical supplies, and other goods to help the people in those nations. They're not only fighting for those folks' freedom, and for our own long-term safety, but they're trying to help the people in those regions realize that we are not their enemies.

Our soldiers and marines are asking directly for your help. Can you afford to give them a buck or two?

If you can afford to give a little more, we even have some minor incentives--a free essay, a blogroll entry, etc. Think you can help out?

If you could tell your friends, family, and co-workers about this fundraising effort, it would really help a lot too.

(By the way, I got that terrific picture from Marc.)

You've convinced me. I just donated to help buy clothing for people in rural Afghanistan, and it feels great. It wasn't much, but it's what I can afford. I want to thank you for setting this up. Not only are you helping people, but you've just made my day.
