Girl Watchers

Yeah, they paid $15 to advertise on Dean's World. But I gotta tell ya, I'm in the middle of The Girl Watcher's Club and it really is a remarkably good read. Funny, poignant, and inspiring. Probably the best salute to the World War II generation I've seen yet, really it is.

Harry Stein is a terrific writer. I've followed his stuff since I was a teenager (he had an article in the very first Playboy I ever bought, and I never forgot it.)

Still, this entry causes me to wonder: Is the future of paid blogging advertorial, like trade publications?

I dunno. Someone sends me a book, I read it, I say what I think. This isn't the first time.

Well I for one am glad this book is advertised on your site. I will go to my library and get a copy. I bet if my Dad were alive he would read this book since he was a veteran of WWII. The write up and your endorsement has me interested.

Janelle,

Something tells me your dad was an awesome and very loved man. ;-)

Sounds like a good policy, Dean. I usually like your book reviews.
