Actually the 9-11 commission was never intended to be bi-partisan, it was intended to APPEAR bi-partisan. In actuallity the White House---which strived mightily to prevent the Commission from ever getting started, and has obstructed its work at every turn---has packed it oil industry boosters and Bush campaign contributors. Hello back at you, Ara....anybody who thought this commission would be bi-partisan, non partisan or anything other than partisan is sniffing the Liquid Paper vapors...this is just like the Clinton hearings, pure political theater...which is why the victims family members at the hearings looked so sadly pathetic...some of these people actually fell for it...you're smarter than this, Ara...
Bi-partisan / partisan, there's a difference? This is Washington DC, This is what they do. Kind of like watching a butcher make sausage, isn't it.
Our form of democracy requires this kind of Kabuki dance. If you don't like it, much like the vast majority of citizens who are not political junkies like us bloggers, turn the channel. You can do the same thing with Howard Stern.
Not sure why anyone thinks this thing was non-partisan. It was meant to be bi-partisan.

Excuse me for not being the brightest bulb in the box, but what exactly is your point, Mark?
