Diet of Worms
Well, if I had Crohn's or inflammatory bowels I suppose I could be talked into it. I'd hope they could manage a pill form at some point though....

I could only drink worm eggs if I thought the alternative was excrutiating pain and a horrible death. The same for allowing maggots to heal an external ulcer or the use of leeches on my body. All quite miraculous medical treatments but I pray fervently that I will never have to face such disgusting health treatments. My aversion to insects borders on the phobic.
Hmmm... I wonder if it would be like drinking bubble tea?
This is mentioned in the book "Parasite Rex," which I don't have in front of me. At the time it was written, the researchers were keeping the type of worm under wraps.
Basically (recalling that part of the book of the top of my head), it was originally thought that this was a problem unique to Jews. Later, it was thought to be a problem of Caucasians. Still later, blacks were found to be suffering from it.
The parasite theory for the cause was thought of after it was realized that the spread into more ethnic groups corresponded to the spread of better hygiene from rich communities into others.
