Israeli-Palestinian Team
It would be nice to see the Sharon government promoting more efforts like this one.
I've long thought the Israelis would be doing themselves a favor to do more to emphasize that they don't view themselves as enemies to the Palestinians. It may seem pointless to some, and an effort they can't afford, but I at times think they can't afford not to.

Just shows that, what a surprise!, Palestinians are humans, too; ie, they don't actually have a penchant for strapping bombs on themselves and blowing up Jews...this is something they are forced to do, by cruel men...
Lets set about killing all of the cruel men, then we wont even have to negotiate a peace, because it'll already have arrived.
I thought this was at least a positive showing by the two groups. They didn't score a goal, but they seemed to learn something about each other and have been able to put a real human face to the "enemy".
Sports can transcend politics.
It's always the civilized who are called upon to "understand" the primitives. Perhaps they'd do well to understand us.
Hey, right on. Good post, Dean. Yeah, I'd like to see more of that too. Kids and adults. Like that Israeli/Palestininian climbing team that scaled that mountain a few months back.
