The New Ice Age

The new ice age is nearly upon us, according to researcher Robert W. Felix. Humans may well die off like the dinosaurs as a result.

Some would suggest that this is a poke in the eye of the global warming theory, but lately I've heard some global warming advocates suggest that catastrophic global warming will actually cause ice ages in some parts of the world. Global Warming is the all-encompassing theory to explain all catastrophes now, it seems.

Anyway, you can find Felix's book on Amazon.

(Thanks to Cardeblu for the link to Felix' site.)

Al Gore seems to have again given a speech in New York in which he mentioned global warming.
Fire and Ice

The only problem was that at the time that he gave the speech, it was about 31 degrees below freezing outside.

I seem to remember that he pulled this stunt last winter.

"Um, pardon me... Mr. Gore... but I'm freezing my ass off, and having you talk about the earth's supposed fiery demise isn't really making me feel any better about the fact that I can't feel my friggin' toes."

Chaos in action. For example, if the Greenland icecap slid off into the sea it would lower water temperature to the point the winds coming off the sea would freeze Norway. Thus global warming leads to a local ice age.

BTW, find some pictures of the Greenland glaciers recently. Some serious melting going on there.

The other day I saw a preview for a movie that's playing off this: The Day After Tomorrow. Hadn't heard about it until I saw the preview, but it looks like it'll be typical early summer popcorn nonsense, and therefore lots of fun to watch.

Additionally, there is a current in the Atlantic ocean that brings warm water from the south and circulates it north, bringing about warmer temperatures. Melting the polar ice caps would dilute this current and lead to colder temperatures in North American and Europe. Hence, ice age.

Just remembered my old AP Biology teacher's lesson (I belive it was stated in the context of why creationism is not valid science, but it is especially applicable here):

"No theory can prove two inherently contradictory results simultaneously."

Alex,
Its called the gulf stream. There is a similar circulation in the pacific called the Kuriosho current that explains the climate in Japan and the Pacific Northwest. Any conjecture about diluting these currents is pure conjecture at this point.
