Sawyer for Prez

A fellow named Sawyer says he's running for President.

Can't say as I agree with everything in his platform, but can't say as I agree with everything in it either. But I do like the style, and no one'll say he's a party shill.

Except that he's wrong about the taxpayers bailing out Chrysler. Congress cosigned a loan; Chrysler paid it back ahead of schedule with profits which were being taxed. The taxpayers came out ahead on the deal.

I won't support a candidate whose research is that sloppy.

And I'm not voting for someone named after a Rush song.

Indeed, they tried to get a break on the interest by paying it early--a perfectly normal thing to do when you pay a loan off early--and Congress was furious and made a stink about it, so they paid it all early, including all the interest as if they hadn't paid early.

If every government loan went that way I'd have to say we need more government loans!

Anyone But Kerry, though, right? Am I right? Can I get a w00t?

Sure, ABK, Dowingba... I disagree with some of Sawyer's platform (in a couple of his foreign policy positions), but he's got his domestic policies straight.

Well, this is one soldier who actually enjoys being stationed in Korea, and I look forward to my next deployment (in a few years) in Korea. I do agree with him on the corporate welfare issue (although his account of Chrysler has holes in it.)

I'll go along with the flat tax rate ONLY if we enact a maximum wage. What's minimum wage $5.75 an hour? Maximum wage will be $1,000,000 a year for every dependent you have. The rest of your earnings either get distributed back into you company. If you're self-employed, pass the savings on to the customer or hire more people.

And I though nothing on Earth would ever convince me to have more children! LOL
