The thing is, not every body part gets larger, or larger at the same rate. My shoulders only got slightly larger, but the upper arms got bigger proportionately. Feet and ankles didn't change much, but the thighs did. Neck, not much difference. And so on.
The companies that want to capture the market need to talk to many women, some just a little pudgy, some really big women, some young, some old.

But, I have to say, I agree with her. I have a plus-sized sweetie and I hear all these complaints constantly.
