And yet Kerry is still a better choice for President.

Let's see, we have a President and Vice-President with very close ties in the petroleum industry, yet gas prices are too high. An administration espousing the free market, yet millions of jobs have been lost. Fiscal conservatives that have raped us on the deficit, and Kerry is the flip-flop candidate?!

"You guys are cracking me up!"

Dean's World Axiom: For every attack on the Bush administration and its policies, there will be an equally irrelevent and childish attack on either Kerry, the Clinton's, or the DNC. I guess Dean's World has turned into the pro-gay George W. Bush rally site. Come to think of it, this is almost a Bush worship shrine (except that it's gay friendly). Have either of you EVER criticized a significant Bush policy or does can the man do no wrong? You automatically assume everyone else is lying and Bush is honest, and that is a crock of crap! I think history will show that this administration was the worst in modern history and one of the most politically divisive. The tone I've picked up from a number of blogs (on both sides of the political spectrum) seem to be focused on negative threads concerning their political opponent.

Or maybe I just misplaced my sense of humor...oh well, off to shibbyshack.com and visit my happy tree friends.

Dean has many times. C'mon, Bush spends money like a Beverly Hillbilly. Campaign Finance Reform was a hot one for us.

You've been here a long time Tim, you know better.

I rarely criticize him because I fully expected him to keep his promises. And he did.

You've stepped right into the trap here. The RNC is using a known killer to promote POTUS.

Actually, when I lived in Cleveland I got an ear-full of the urban legend surounding the promoter's unique look. I was having lunch at a little Deli around the corner from my house in Shaker Heights (saddly this fine eatery, one of the few places in town where you could buy a beer, has since been bulldozed) when I noticed a snapshot of King and Mike Tyson sitting at a table with a huge ice-bucket of Heineken. Herman, the owner, told me the story of the fright-wig hairdo "The Don" sports. Said it concealed the huge lump that was a permanent trophy from the self-defense killing incident Counterspin Central refers to.

Tim, the site Rosemary links to has all the very well documented evidence of Kerry's flip-floppiness. Got evidence, in any way documented, of Bush flip flopping on anything? And no, "Liberals Are Always Right About Everything™" doesn't count.

dowingba :
Of course Liberals are not right all the time. Since by definition we're tolerant of all views, we're only right half the time, and left the other half, unlike the RNC which only gets it correct once in a while. Even a blind squirrel......

Mark,

Did you take a funny pill today? You have been cracking wise all day!

It's Friday, and I'm away from the wife and kids. What can I say, havin' fun with no interest in cheatin', lyin or stealin'. I'll be back in full soap-box form when the hangover ends. Sometime I just don't feel like being boring anymore.

Awesome Dude! Have one for me. I'm being "supportive", so I can't drink right now. And I quit smoking. I having nothing fun to do but pick on liberals that I don't like. ;-)

I could have tolerated a Lieberman presidency. Probably could have tolerated it very well: I've always thought of the guy as a "true" liberal- my father's kind of Democrat, not one of the unprincipled demagogues the party has been breeding lately, the ones whose only talent is for whipping up hatred, envy, resentment and distrust of the "enemy" Republicans. Why Lieberman ever allowed himself to get mixed up with the likes of Al Gore, I'll never figure; he's really better than that.

But Kerry? I can't even figure out what the hell the guy actually believes, what his core convictions are; he's all over the map. What fundamental principles is he going to fall back on when the going gets really rough and he has to make truly difficult decisions? Does he even have any core convictions? If he does, they're not evident to me: the only two unswerving instincts I've seen in him so far are the modern Democrat instinct to concoct outrageous lies, and a strong tendency to go whichever way the wind blows.

The Democratic Primary process got John Kerry selected by roughly one-eighth of the total Dem electorate, the most fervid and fevered part of the Party. And as far as I can see, the only reason he was selected is because he projected enough hatred and anger to rile up the riffraff but--unlike Howard Dean--not enough to mark him as obviously insane.

John Kerry, the ideal compromise candidate for the modern Democratic Party. Yeggg.

Leno had a funny one, something like: “The good news is there are two well-formed, carefully though-out positions among the presidential candidates. The bad news is they’re both John Kerry’s.
