I just got off the phone with Chief Wiggles. He is back in the states for the moment, and, although he may be going back to Iraq again soon, he's hoping to be allowed to be sent home for good soon.
The neat thing is that once he is home for good, Operation Give will be continuing and even expanding. Permanent contacts in Iraq have been made, and even more is being done here in the states to be expanding the operation.
We're going to be needing some folks to help with an expanded design of the Op Give web site. More on that later. But here's the neatest thing I've ever heard: some folks in Iraq are working on an all-Arabic language comic book entitled Chief Wiggles, and the Chief Wiggles name is going to turn into a name used as a mascot for the organization itself rather than just representing one guy.
A Chief Wiggles comic book. In Arabic. Distributed in Iraq. Can you imagine anything more cool?

Excellent Dean, just excellent!
Yes this is outstanding news and absolutely exciting to hear how deeply Cheif Wiggles is cared for. WOW!
All of those that gave of their time, money and brought about this organization are true heros and angels.
Can't you just hear all those jihadis screaming: They are taking our children and indoctrinating them in kindness !! AAAAAAYYYYYYYEEEEEEEE !! We can't let that happen !!
Wow... that's amazing when you think about it. Will the comic book eventually be turned into an movie?
Per Dean-

I predict, which is stupid because no one can tell the future, that 'blogs', over the next 5 or 10 years will have all the influence, close to or equal to, the newspapers and magazines of today.
Why? Because the universal ease of access; you are here, I am here, anyone can post, anyone can have a blog.
In the field of information analysis you access all the information availible, you don't care if it is the truth or not...at that point you just want all the input you can get.
Then you process the data. The lies, the bullshit, all the false information, will be like noise, spread all over the spectrum, the truth, coming from a variety of sources yet containing the same information will show peaks in the spectrum on a chart of total congruent information (verticle),
vs. total input.
Some lies, if repeated and repeated, will show peaks, but with all the noise removed, they can be detected.
The internet will turn out to be one of the greatest developements of our time!
(I do get enthusiastic)
Any thing that spreads freedom of speach and the spread of ideas around the world is great.
"The truth shall set thee free!)
I'll shut up now.
Oh no Quantum Thnk, you were rolling with truth! I love this medium and it is a great development! People all over of a huge variety of races and religions are expressing their views and some blogs are outstanding in that they do give truth with no bosses over them to say, no you can't print that due to political correctness and papers and magazines that slant the truth for their political agendas and of course the advertising puts a heavy weight on them to get their products sold.
The great and amazing strength of the blogosphere is its error-checking and correcting, which exceeds that which has ever existed in traditional publications. Errors get corrected faster and more reliably in this medium than any other in history.
