Sadly, the odds of the majority of jihadis waking up the next morning remorseful of their faith are infinitesimally small. If I had to bet, I would lay even odds on us having to drop the big hammer on the Islamic world over the next decade, either in reprisal, or in preemption.

I agree it is heartening to see such a turnaround. I suppose one day these people will stop making war against their perceived enemies, and finally have all the wonderful problems of an advanced country without morals. Its really a lose-lose situation but i'll still take the latter any day.
