Holy Fat Dog Alert Batman!

He's not fat, he's big-boned.

Seriously, according to the Vet, he is about 15 -20lbs overweight. He's supposed to be 85-90lbs and he weighs 105lbs.

He's on a diet and he is getting regular exercise. Now that he can walk without pain, it's easier to exercise his fat butt. It's hard to tell but he is really fluffy - I brushed him out for the picture.

"Awwwwwww, puppy!"

It's so funny, isn't it, that the toughest dude may lapse into baby-talk confronted with a cute doggie.
I'm glad that Buttons is feeling better, Rosemary and Dean.

Oh, sorry, did I get off topic?

Cute doggy.

He's not fat, he's fluffy, eh? Great picture - glad Buttons is doing better.

I had not seen Buttons before. He's beautiful. He reminds me of a Samoyed I met years ago. Pure white - they named her Powder River...I'm glad he is better

I am sitting here crying with joyful tears for my family that I miss so very much. You can not imagine how wonderful it is for me to see Buttons again for it was two years ago Christmas that I played with him and my little Jacob.

As you know, I read this blog everyday and I have had all of you in my prayers and talk to you when I can. This is an answered prayer as I do love animals so very much and that Buttons is a great dog, a real treasure, such a big part of the family. I miss him and know my Jacob takes real good care of him.

God Bless you all, I love you.

Good news, thankyou. My wife and I have had many dogs over the years, we have two now. One of the present dogs and his namesake from about 11 years ago caught Valley Fever, a fungus infection of the lungs common in the south-west and sometimes deadly to both dogs and humans. It is treatable and the same medicine is used for both they and us.

The each survived the ordeal.

They say, "Money can't buy happiness." Sure it can...buy a puppy.

I am so glad that Buttons is doing better. Tell her Teddy Bear and Beorn say "Woof!"

Sweet dog! Glad he's doing better.

I know that look. It's the, "Are you doing something? What are you going? Can I do it with you?" look.

"OK, I love you, bye-bye!"

Thanks for the picture of Buttons. He reminds me of one of my dogs. I'm glad his problems were not as bad as thought.
May you chase rabbits in your dreams forever!

Oh my, Buttons reminds me of a sweet ole' dog my family had, he was a white samoyed. Geoffry, too bad you were sleeping when Rosemary posted her own beautiful bosom over the weekend... too bad Geoffrey. She's a beauty.

The picture of Buttons brings to mind an old song I liked, "Old dogs and Children, and Watermelon Wine". Don't recall who sang it.

Hi Buttons!

"Don't recall who sang it".

It was Tom T. Hall, the Story-teller. And it was a great song.

Aw, Buttons is cute :) My band's mascot looks a bit similar, but he's part wolf and part yellow lab.

Glad to see Buttons doing better! That glucosamine stuff works miracles. (for people, too)

That is a handsome dog.

Reminds me of my favorite dog of all time. I'll have to blog on him when I'm not buried by midterms.
