Dean this song is for Gary your friend sang by Vince Gil...Go Rest High on that Mountain

I know your life on earth was troubled and only you could know the pain.

You weren't afraid to face the devil
Were no stranger to the rain.

Go rest high on the mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son.

Oh how we cried the day you left us
Gathered around your grave to grieve
Wish I could see the Angels faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing.

Go rest high on that mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son.

I played this song yesterday a few times as I do that quit often with a song I really care for.

My hometown has a very majestic set of moutains and I thought of them as I thought of you. The lyrics are for you Gary and we will meet again my friend.

Godspeed Gary.

I did not get to meet you in this world, I hope we hook-up on the other side...

My dad was hit by a car in Rochester a number of years ago. It was through the actions of Gary and the other emergency workers that my dad's life was saved.

Gary was one of my mentors when I worked at 911. He was like a constant example of the right way to do something, and he wasnt afraid to tell you so. I only spent a little time working there, but there were certain people that you remembered as being the heart and soul and voice of dispatch. Gary never wanted to move up and be a supervisor, he was happy with being a mentor to the people from the trenches. He could teach you something without saying a thing to you. Just by watching what he did and how he dealt with people you could figure out how to do it yourself. He was the voice of third platoon. Everyone knew him in the field and everyone loved him at the office. He will be missed. Good luck in the next life my friend.
