Hilarious... but for all the wrong reasons. To be honest I'm unsurprised. Look at what happened in Nashville. Parents of underachievers demanded that the Honor Roll be yanked down because they said it discriminated against their children. The school lawyers agreed and off it went. Children shouldn't be motivated to reach higher goals because, God forbid, what if they fail? What about their poor self esteem? Whatever happened to brushing the dirt off, wiping the blood away and trying again? Face it. America now panders to the lowest common denominator because we want them to feel, well, like they're not the lowest common denominator. I'm waiting for a law to be passed that makes offending people illegal. It's nuts.
That is infuriating and despicable in the extreme. I thought I'd seen just about everything, but that has got to be the absolute worst example of _explicitly_ flattening everyone down to the lowest level of mediocrity that I have yet seen in America's schools. I read of this on another blog somewhere and was outraged, but I hadn't seen how, yes, racism also gets into it. Despicable.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Profitt, we can't hire you for this top management position. Your resume shows that you increased productivity for the company you last worked for by $7,000,000,000,000. You'd thereby set a bad example for the rest of our employees, make them too ambitious. Better for us to continue going broke."

Let me get this straight, he was not hired because he would be a GOOD ROLE MODEL for these kids. Jeebus.
If you're any good you're bad?
