Contemplating Medical Insurance

James Joyner has a good piece on health insurance benefits that you should read. In his comments, I mention something fairly important that most people miss: America's "crisis of the uninsured" is just a bit ironic, considering that more people have health insurance through their employers today than at any time in our history. Which is no reason not to do things to make medical insurance easier to get, or maybe even decouple it from employment status, but it should give us a sense of perespective. If there is a "crisis," it's been with us throughout our entire history as a nation, and has been steadily getting better, not worse.

Go. Read his piece, and leave any comments over there.
