Self-Publishing Success

At least one writer has found success through self-publishing. I find myself wondering if he just did the equivalent of winning the lottery (i.e. got very very lucky) or if there isn't something to what he's saying.

I'll say it again -- you should be doing this.

BTW, you can sell your book via the web too.

Well as someone who has gone this route via iUniverse I can say its very hard to get it out to the punters. However, if you wish to be published it is a rather good route. Not that expensive either.

And it helps to have friends in the media that can give you that little boost in their work.

Our plan with our book is to try to sell to a traditional publisher and, if we fail, to self-publish.

One way or the other, this book will see the light of day. (And yes, we are still working on it and still making progress. It's tricky, though, because we've picked an unusually complex narrative methodology.)
