Almost as bad as my Rams snatching defeat from the jaws of victory yesterday. Argh!
Well at least this gives me more time to focus on the Blues hockey season.
You'd think the Green Bay Packers were Christ's apostles, the way folks around Wisconsin babble endlessly about them. I don't know what's worse, listening to fans boast about a professional football team when they win, or watching them sulk over it when they lose.
whats worse is having no team at all to do either. I was a little kid when the Cardinals left St. Louis and I remember asking my Mom why they were leaving, she said she didnt know and I felt as if the world made no sense for the first time ever. But then we got the Rams and they won it all a few years later (My senior year in high school as a matter of fact) and I saw the Lombardi Trophy go down Market Street. It was great.
Now I just have to hope and pray that the Stanley Cup makes the same trip.
Realistically, the reason Green Bay didn't win was that their defense failed to stop them on the last drive of the fourth quarter.
Punting or going for it on that last Green Bay fourth down is a coin flip (although I think they should have gone for it), but if the defense had gotten a stop on that last Philly drive, Green Bay wins.
Hey, what can I say? I was pulling for a rematch of Super Bowl XXXI. I mean what's the fun of watching the Patroits grind the Eagles or the Panthers in to submission?
And don't even try to warn me about the Colts. No D. 'Nuff said.
Last week was no different (ana-hey) when Packers played Seattle - and the tables were turned. Farve's protege threw a pass into Harris's hands, ya know.

I thought you didn't like football?
It was a great game, even though the wrong team won. A giant mental error by Favre cost them the game.
Philly all the way now.

I know what's worse. The Rutabaga Festival in Cumberland, WI. That's just sad. And boy do the people love it up there.
Go 'Bagas!

Man- that was a sad, sad ending to a tense game.
