Milestone

Yesterday, apparently some time in the late morning, Dean's World had its 1,000,000th visit for 2003.

Glad you could make it.

Let me be the first to congratulate you on that milestone!

I should be joining you in that millionth hit around 2043 – assuming that my grandkids are reading my blog at that time...

And sometime this weekend I got my one thousandth. The journey of a thousand miles begins some time after you start packing.

Congrats Dean! I should reach that hit total after about 10 years of blogging. Also thanks for the mention on your site last week. It accounted for aroud 400 of my hits. You are the coolest.

Well, Dean, congratulations. According to my careful calculations, my site ought to get its millionth visitor about in the year 2521. Just in time for the annoying reprise of Zager & Evans.

It was me.

What do I win?

I'm reading this blog constantly. Dean and Rosemary post so much interesting stuff all the time and thus draw so many interesting comments.

MILESTONE HUH ?

In order to achieve 1,000,000 vists per day you would need average 2739 visits per day.

Currently, according to the TTLB, The Truth Laid Bear Data site, your current site average is 857 visits per day.

If you do the math, you are currently 687,195
visits short of the one million visits you claim.

Where did you come up with the 700 thousand extra visits ?

Rob: You get A NEW CAR!!!!!!!!

You have to come to Detroit to get it. It's a Matchbox. But if you make it here, you can have it.

Catch 22: The Truth Laid Bear doesn't have the correct information. It relies on a page counter that I used for about two weeks, and then got rid of because it seemed redundant, and only counted visits to the front page and not direct article links.

For the month of December so far, Dean's World has averaged 4,676 visits per day. That's the current high; November averaged 4,447 per day, October averaged 4,154 per day, September averaged 3,598 per day, August averaged 2,727 per day, July averaged 2,799 per day, Jue averaged 2,706 per day, and so on. In January we were averaging 671 per day.

I'll show you the complete set of stats if you really want. I'm not into bragging, but I feel moderately proud to have attracted so many readers this year.
