Dean Esmay, I Love You (Rosemary)
On this day, eight years ago, I married my best friend and soulmate. Many thought we were nuts.
We met on June 12, 1995. We lived in two different states. We romanced each other on weekends.
Four weeks later, on the phone and in a drunken stupor, Dean proposed at 4 am. I didn't hold him to it but I did enjoy his discomfort.
Two weeks later on August 1st, in grand style, Dean proposed again in person.
I accepted.
On December 15th, I married the love of my life.
And I would do it again.

We just celebrated our 30th in august, our love is as strong or stronger as the years have gone by. May your love, dedication, and devotion build through the years. They (who ever that is) say that love will keep you young, well yes and no. Young in spirit yes, young in years.. well after a while you're counting grandchildren and forgetting birthdays, there's so many of them, but always remembering the happiness, the dreams that brought you together, the love that keeps you close and the comitment that will, forever, keep you as one.
And our 31st is coming up next week. It doesn't always run smooth, but it keeps getting better. I'll bet youse guys already know what I tell newlyweds is the secret of a succesful marriage - Fight Fair.
