Just got in from visiting some friends' church, where they took part in singing "The Messiah." About to close my eyes for a minute and then go pick up the sitter, and head for my MIL's Christmas open house.
No sermon to write for tomorrow, my wife found an extra box of ornaments in the attic she'd misplaced, so we've been downstairs putting them on the tree. My oldest daughter is practicing Christmas music on the piano with my wife, and the youngest daughter is FINALLY getting a chance to look at Barbie.com after her big sister monopolized the computer all afternoon!
Just got in the door, back from the Lions Club Christmas party up in Caledonia. Now am checking out a couple of items on my computer, Dean's World among them, and then to bed: I always get up Sunday mornings at five, and unlike Rev. Mike, I do have a sermon for tomorrow. It's already there in my head— let's hope!
It's actually early Sunday morning and I just spent the last eight hours at work listening to people complain about service from their local phone company.
The computers were down. My mouse didn't work. NO ONE wanted to answer troubleshooting questions.
Still two years till I get my teaching degree.
*sigh*
I'm too wired on diet soda to sleep, so I'm reading your site looking for fodder for my own blog.

You?
Joyfully testing out my Linksys Cable modem/router, now that I figured out to make it work again.
It's nice when your connection goes from a 10mbps to a 100mbps... :)
Watching Oliver waiting for the hockey game to come on. What the hell are you doing writing in your weblog on Saturday night?
Wondering if you are having a 38th birthday bash and planning my trip to Michigan next year.
Same thing as the twenty or so other stiffs surrounding me, working.

I'm with the Reverend... looking at barbie.com
Well, train wrecks have gotten kinda boring...
It's 25 degrees, there's three inches of snow on the ground, and I don't feel like shoveling off the driveway.
Got done watching "Bend It Like Beckham" with my daughter and then talked on the phone with Miss Julie from Baton Rouge.
Committing several rants to my own blog, listening to my two cats chase each other around the apartment and skillfully avoiding doing my laundry.
Because...
Errr...
Well there's always...
And then there's...
Hell. I don't really know why?

Well ... you asked.
Procrastinating on studying for my finals and writing papers. I had my fun earlier in the semester.

sitting around, playing on the computer, and watching the news that we have apparently captured Saddam Hussein.
Just another typical Saturday night.
I'll second John's comment. It's early Sunday morning, I turn on the computer, and guess who's coming to dinner.
Well, hello, Mr. ex-President!
:)
Saddam captured!!!!
