I thought the whole Turkeygate silliness was about played out, and was going to just drop it and move on. It was funny and silly and goofy, but let's just forget it, right? Sometimes people go all stupid and need to be corrected, and then you can move on. Right-wingers get silly and stupid sometimes, left-wingers do too, and it's not worth much more than an eye roll and a chuckle, and a reminder that we're all part of the same human race. Let's move on.
Then I read this. Now I can't stop laughing again.
"You're not taking this seriously enough, Randal. A turkey is dead. Someone killed it. We need to get to the bottom of this!"
In my defense, I have this thing about conspiracy theories, and something like this is like crack for me. I can't stay away from it.
OUCH! My sides hurt! STOP IT!!!!
I bet the guy who wrote the original article that spurred this whole TurkeyGate thing is kicking himself...kicking himself hard.
oh no not a photo-op. At least its not like Al Gore who would have million up on million of photo op. Do you remember in 2000 during that ballot thing when Gore went and played football with his family and let the press watch so he could pull off a Kennedy like image? How would that have been? Bush playing football in Iraq...
Turkeygate should produce useful campaign slogans for both sides. For the Dems, it's "Bush lied, turkeys died." For the Repubs, "Every turkey dies. Not every turkey truly lives."
