Well. It's mighty comforting to know that we still have home-grown right-wing terrorists in our midsts, isn't it? For a while there, I thought the good ol' US of A wouldn't be able to compete with the damn furriners. (The Earth Liberation Front still hasn't managed to kill anyone, so they've been letting down the side.)

The larger worry is that since both the foreign and domestic nuts have the Jews as their presumptive enemy and both think the US is controlled by the Jews, it'd be no large leap to have Aryan Nations types working with al Queda operatives....
As I advocated on 9/11 - round 'em all up; put through some sort of emergency legislation and pick up all the mutts in these groups. Detain them for the duration as fifth columnists.

People who don't get sarcasm in written pieces aren't stupid. They could be children (who don't understand spoken sarcasm when they are young), or just naive.

Eco-terrorists ARE called "Left-wing terrorists", like the ELF for example. ELF is the primary example a the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center for domestic terrorist groups... or at least it was in 2001.
For the State Department, The Sendero (Peru), FARC and ELN (Colombia) were always referred to as left wing terrorist organizations and the AUC (also Colombia) was added to the list two years ago as a right wing terrorist organization.
I think it's very important to realize that terrorists come in all political persuasions. There is no political cause--not even the "anti-war" cause--that is not without its dangerous, violent element, or the potential for one.
All it takes is coming to the conclusion that the world, or your nation, are so bad off that 1) only tearing the system apart will fix it, and 2) most people are too blind or stupid to see it, or too afraid to act. Add a dose of bravado and you've got yourself a terrorist in the making.
Any cause can fall prey to it. Any cause.
